Israel Tour

In 2000 CE a friend and I spent some time touring around Israel.  We started off in Tel Aviv then travelled to Akko, via Haifa.  Whilst based at Akko we visited Tzfat, the Sea of Galilee, the Golan Heights and the Libyan and the Syrian borders.  We then made our way South to Jerusalem and from there explored the Dead Sea, Masada, and the old city of Jerusalem itself.  The experience was a pleasant and peaceful one and the people were friendly and hospitable.  Israel is a beautiful country with a fascinating history and I just wanted to share some of the photos that I took during the trip. 

Obviously Israel is of central importance to the religions of Judaism, Islam and Christianity, plus smaller religions such as Baha'i Faith and Druze.  Although Western Esotericism has numerous sources including Hermeticism from the ancient world and Buddhist and Hindu concepts from the East, the three 'religions of the book' also form its backdrop and foundation.
